Wheat Belly – Lose the Wheat/Lose

WheatBelly, written by William Davis, MD is an amazing book that explains why
although we have adapted a “healthy” diet according to governmental guidelines
as well as that of our own doctors has made us unhealthier than ever
before. The sad part is our doctors KNOW
that WHEAT IS BAD for us and so does the government who adds it to just about
every processed food we eat.
FAT does
not make us fat! WHEAT makes us fat! In fact, WHEAT raises the blood sugar levels
higher than just straight sugar. Two
whole wheat pieces of bread raise the blood sugar level higher than a Snickers
bar! Wheat increases insulin production which increases belly fat!
Not only
does wheat raise our blood sugar levels dramatically, the additive that is put
into wheat and wheat products actually is an appetite STIMULANT! By simply
eliminating wheat and the appetite-stimulating effects of wheat and limiting
junk carbs, people tend to LOSE weight at a fairly rapid pace. This has less to do with calories and more to
do with losing the appetite-stimulating effects of wheat – gliadin.
